Ukiss "Tick Tack" MV (new song!!!)

Ukiss has a new song!!! It's called "Tick Tack" and it's in Japanese. I think this is there first Japanese single. I gotta say I'm really liking the look, dance, everything!!! The boys look so~ good! I hope they win something soon. It's a little ridiculous that they haven't won anything yet (Somebody let me know if they've already won something ^_^). Anyways I hope you guys enjoy the new MV!

BB Cream

What can I say, this stuff is genius!!!

I actually discovered BB Cream by accident. I like buying Asian cosmetics, so one day when I was shopping on Ebay I happened to come across the powder. I bought it, really liked it and after a few months when I was running low decided to buy more. I couldn’t find it, but I found the liquid kind, so I bought that one because it said that it helps with acne and wrinkles. I luved it!

Ok for those of you who don’t know what bb cream is here’s a little background on this product:
  "BB cream, also known as Blemish Balm, Blemish Base or Beblesh Balm, is a cosmetic item sold mainly in East and Southeast Asia.
Originally formulated in Germany by Dr. med. Christine Schrammek it was initially used by dermatologists to help laser surgery patients protect, soothe and refine highly sensitive skin while providing light coverage for post-laser scars, acne and other blemishes.

BB creams come in a variety of different formulations and qualities. Some are said to have skin whitening or brightening properties. Others are anti-acne, some are anti-wrinkle, some are intended to even out skin tone, and yet others to lighten blemish scars. BB creams are sometimes used like a primer under foundation, and if tinted may even replace foundation and some newer ones will have functions of primer, foundation, moisturizer, sun block, pore minimization and skin refining together which can save time and money in make-up."  -Wikipedia.com (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BB_cream)

Now since it’s originally from Asia that means that its color is based on Asian women (that means it’s light), but that doesn’t mean everyone else can’t us it. I’m Mexican so I have a year-round tan, but I can still pull it off (at least I think lol) well at least until summer comes around. Ok so now, that doesn’t mean darker shade women can’t use this, oh no. You can still use it the only thing you have to do is mix it with your foundation.

So yeah this stuff is good, personally I don’t like wearing makeup because of all the steps you have to take with the foundation, concealer, etc, but with BB Cream it’s all you need (at least for me). In the time that I’ve used it I break-out less and my face is softer with and without BB Cream.

So far I have used three different brands: Missha, Mistine, and Etude House. I really like all of them, but my favorite one and the one I noticed goes better for my skin type is Mistine and Missha. For those of you asking where to purchase BB Cream you can try Ebay, Etude House.com, or Amazon. There are many other places where you can buy them just make sure it’s legit. You have to be careful where you buy it from because there are a few fakes out there. If you’re really interested in buying BB cream I can e-mail you the link to the places I bought them.

My guilty pleasure (Teen Top "No More Perfume On You")

A couple of weeks ago I saw Simon and Martina’s Music Mondays for Teen Top’s “No More Perfume On You”. I didn’t think anything of it since you know they are teens and I’m an old lady (ok I’m exaggerating, I’m only 22). However, there was this one part of the video where Martina shows the “dance”. It was hilarious~ the “Sexy hey~” lol and ever since then it would pop into my head once in a while. So I became curious if they actually did that in the MV.

But before saying more I have to explain as to why I had not watched the MV, it turns out the song is about a cheating boyfriend and that’s just not my style, especially if the boys is 17 and everyone is fine with it (in the song).

Ok so I decided to watch the MV and yup, they actually do the dance move. But I gotta say, after watching and hearing the song I really, really liked it and the boys are so~ cute! (Chunji is adorable~ that boys smile just makes you scream like a school girl) Now I can’t stop listening to it. It’s crazy how much they make me smile lol

The song SOUNDS very pretty and the boys are just extremely adorable and I also really luv the dance, but too bad it’s not sending out a good message. Not unless you guys think cheating is good.

So yeah even though it’s a “bad” song (the message), but I gotta say I’m really liking it.

JYJ "In Heaven"

 I’m so~ excited!!! JYJ has come out with a new single; it’s called “In Heaven”. Ok so I started watching the MV and it starts off with a close-up of Junsu (so~ cute), 45 seconds into the video I started liking it and once it finished I thought the song was ok. I really liked the MV, but wasn’t so crazy about the song, but all that changed when I saw it again a few days later. The MV is amazing! and the song sounds so nice. I’m still learning Korean so I don’t know exactly what the song was talking about, but the MV does a great job at translating lol. However I became curious on what the song was talking about and after a few failures I found the translation. Since it’s still a new song there is not much out there, but I think the one I found is pretty reliable.

For those of you who are interested the CD is coming out on Sept. 28^th 2011. You can place your orders for them now. I want to buy it, but I’m gonna have to wait T_T ah~ the wonderful things about growing up…responsibilities and expenses.

Ukiss "Neverland"

Hey everyone! Yesterday while scrolling down my subscriptions list on youtube I came a cross a video. When I read Ukiss I was so excited! 

Yup Ukiss has a new song out. It's amazing!!! (at least I think) All the boys are looking really good and I gotta say I'm impressed with Hoon (he was my least favorite, sorry Hoon lol). Anyways back to the point the song is really catchy after the first 30 seconds and the dance, like always, is really good. These boys never disappoint, I've liked all of their singles so far and this one is just as amazing.

I believe their 3 year anniversary is coming soon or recently passed, so~ CONGRATULATIONS UKISS!!! Saranghe!!!

Congratulations to Sun Hyunwoo and his new wife!

Some of you might ask who is Hyunwoo? Well he's the founder of TTMIK and also works with Korean class101.com. Even though I've never met him or talked to him, but I feel like I know him threw all the videos and lessons he's posted. He's such a great teacher. He recently got married, I believe over the weekend. Check out where they went for their honeymoon it's beautiful!



So again congratulations to Hyunwoo, I don't really know his wife, I've only seen her in pictures and this is the first video I've seen her in, but I'm sure I'll be seeing her in many more. So congrats to Mikyung too. I wish you both a happy honeymoon and a very happy life together.

My Lame Excuse

I would like to apologize for my non-activity in the past two months. It's actually a kind of (emphasize on the kind of) funny story. For the past four years my life has been boring, no scratch that, for the past three years and also the beginning of this year (last year, I have to say was THE best year I've had). Since I had nothing to do I started a blog and I thought "Yeah! I'm gonna post every day, it's gonna be so exciting and awesome!" "I'm gonna do all these things and I'm going to blog about it"...yeah~ it didn't work that way. But anyways the reason why I haven't posted anything in the past two months is because I got a full time job (yay! me) and I'm going to school full time. So when I'm not at work I'm at school or doing homework T_T so all that has left me exhausted. I went from not having anything to do to not even getting enough time to sleep (ok I'm exaggerating I'm still getting my 8 hours). And to make things worse my Internet has been out since last Friday.
But enough excuses, just wanted to let everyone know why I haven't posted. I will start posting and updating again...

Simon and Martina Interviewing U-KISS

I’ve wanted to share this video for a long time, but I’ve been a little busy. Ok so about a month ago Simon and Martina were able to “interview” U-KISS!!!

When I saw the video I had just arrived from LA (from the Korean Music Festival) so I was super excited! to see this in my superscription uploads. I was so amazed at how nice and funny they were, especially Kevin and AJ (new member). They were acting like two normal guys just relaxing and talking. They were awesome! I had so much fun and so many laughs while watching it you guys have to see it.

B2ST "Fiction" new song

B2ST has come out with a new song. Now, I’m a little confused because a few days ago the “Intro” came out and…that one.. is a song..on its own? I’m not sure and yesterday I guess the official song came out “Fiction”. 

Ok so what I’m understanding is that there are two different songs ("Fiction” and “Fact”). 

So far “Fiction” has already come out, now we’re waiting for “Fact”. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Anyways either way enjoy both MVs that are new. 

By the way, I have to say that all the boys are looking pretty good in the “Fiction” MV ^_^

Jay Park "Abandoned"

Jay Park (previous member of 2pm) came out with a new single “Abandoned”, I have to say it’s really good (in my opinion). The MV is good too and I definitely love the dancing! I’m so happy I got see him perform this at the Korean Music Festival.
 

I was thinking of buying his CD, but since “Abandoned” was the only song I actually liked I changed my mind (I’m not rich here lol). I'll buy it when I don't know what to spend my money on.

Anyways, but I gotta say I’m really impressed by Jay. The more I learn about him the more I like him, he does a good job. And he’s a really good dancer.

Korean Music Festival at the Hollywood Bowl 2011

I had the great opportunity to go to the Korean Music Festival on April 30, 2011 (this past Saturday) at the Hollywood Bowl. My friends and I have been planning this for the past two months; I have to say it was AWESOME! At first when I heard who was coming I was a little disappointed because none of my favorite artists were coming. The only ones I was looking for to seeing were U-Kiss, 4Minute, & Jay Park but even then at the time they weren’t my ultimate favorite (well that's changed in the past few weeks). 

In order to get excited about them I started watching a lot of videos and I also recently saw Jay’s new MV “Abandoned”, it’s really good, I might even buy his CD. After learning more about them and watching them perform I’m totally loving U-Kiss and Jay Park A LOT! ^^ 

Over all it was a great concert all the artist did great. Sistar was there so was Secret, G.NA K.Will (he was awesome by the way, I totally love him now^^), and even people I didn’t know like Lee Eun Ha and Kim Jang Hoon were really really good!

This was such a great a experience , we’re already planning on going next year, but this time were getting better seats.

Sorry about the background noise, my friend was a little too excited lol and we had bad seats so we couldn't get their faces on camera, next year we're totally getting better seats.

Super Junior "Perfection" and "No Other"

It’s been a while since I posted something (besides yesterday) I’ve been crazy busy with finals. But now I’m done YAY! I get a week off and I’ll be able to share more things I’ve recently discovered and I’ll also be updating as well.

Ok so I’ve known about Super Junior for a while and liked very few of their songs. I thought they were alright looking, I always like how they dressed, and their dancing is really good. But I’ve never really been a Super Junior fan, well not until recently ^^

Early this month (March) they came out with a new song “Perfection” (or “Too Perfect”) OMG! It’s sooo good! They look totally HOT and the dance is AWESOME!!!(I really want to learn how to dance this song). After watching that MV I saw another one which is “No Other”, and of course I loved it, they are so cute I can’t even put into words. Ever since those MVs I really like Super Junior.

I also saw their movie “Attack on the Pin-up Boys”, it’s cute and funny, I enjoyed watching them ^_^

Celebrating DBSK "Mirotic"

Let’s Celebrate!!!

  

Ok so today is my one year anniversary on discovering DBSK aka TVXQ, Tohoshinki, Dong Bang Shin Ki (Which have sadly split into two, JYJ and TVXQ).

It’s kind of crazy and funny that their anniversary falls on my final this year because last year when I discovered them I was working on my final lol.

So what I’m going to do today is just share a few pictures and the MV that introduced me to Kpop.

Before I do that I want to share a little story about me and Kpop. Last year on this date I was still fairly new to the Korean culture. I had only seen about two dramas and the only songs I liked were “Nighttime” by Alex and “Moonrise” by W & Whale. Since I was interested in listening to more Korean music I decided to look some up. I typed Korean pop on youtube and the first video take came up was DBSK’s “Mirotic”. At first glance it wasn’t really doing much for me, but I clicked on it anyways. I started watching the video and I thought it was a little different. The first person I saw was Hero I thought he was so CUTE, and then Max, later Junsu (I didn’t really like his hair), Mickey (I reeeally didn’t like his hair), Uknow was last and he didn’t do much for me. After about a minute in I left it on, but continued writing my paper. Towards the end I started liking the song, so I decided to watch the whole video. By the end I really liked the song and the MV. After the third time I watched it I was hooked, I swear! I couldn’t stop watching the MV! I think I watched the MV several times a day everyday for the next few weeks. I still really like the song and MV they are AWESOME!

Ever since then I’ve been hooked on Kpop, it’s practically all I listen to ^_^

The Host movie

The Host is a movie about what happens when careless people dump dangerous liquids in the Han River (it kind of remind me of Godzilla). A monster appears from the water and starts eating people (don't worry nothing too gross)one of those people happens to be a 13-year-old girl. Her family believes she's dead, but later get a phone call from her saying she's stuck somewhere. Her family goes out looking for her, but no one wants to help them because they think they are contaminated since they had contact with the monster. My sister actually saw this movie a few years back, but I wasn't interested. Now that I've watched it I really like it, it's a good movie. Although not a comedy, but there is some humor.

"My Boyfriend is a Type B" movie is about a guy with type B blood type (not the best personality) he meets a girl who is somewhat shy and like-able. I thought it was so cute how he treated how, he really showed he cared, however there were also bad moments. But a very cute movie, I loved it.

Mary Stayed Out All Night drama

This week enjoy kdrama "Mary Stayed Out All Night". The guy from the movie "Baby and Me" and "You're Beautiful" comes out in it. And the girl from "My Little Bride" and "Cinderella's Sister" too. I'm not sure what the drama is about, but something having to do with a girl who doesn't know much about dating and starts dating a rocker, but she later meets an educated guy who her father wants her to marry. It's pretty popular so it must be good, so here you go! ^^

Innocent Steps movie

A while back ago I saw the movie "Innocent Steps", I really liked it. It's about a guy, Young Sae, who is a professional dancer; his rival can't handle the competition and while dancing steps on his leg. Young Sae does not want to compete again, but his manager convinces him by telling him that he's going to partner him up with a really good Chinese dancer. A lot of things happen, but I'll stop right here because I don't want to give anything away.
And the ending was so cute! I really like it, I almost cried it was so cute ^^

Joo "Bad Guy" MV

I have to say I really like this song, Joo's "Bad Guy". I don't like too many girl singers, but this girl is really good. Ok so just letting you know how I discovered this song. One day when I was either getting ready for school or work I decided to put music on and since there was quite a big pile of videos on my subscriptions I decided to start listening to them (before watching this video I didn't know who Joo was). So I was listening and the song was a little too slow for my taste, so at about 1:23 I decided to take it off, but something caught my eye. It was gorgeous Chan Sung from 2PM!!! (some girls say he is wearing too much makeup, I disagree, it's nothing compared to their video "I'll be back", he actually looks good) I swear he looked so HOT! so I watched the rest of the video and even though I only understood a few words and phrases, but I really felt her pain. Now this is one of my favorite songs. Joo has an amazing voice and they did a really good job with the video.

Fly Daddy Fly

This movie is about a young girl who gets abused by some guy in a music room. Her dad wants to take revenge so he meets a guy (he comes out in My Girl) who decides to train him. It's an interesting movie, I liked it ^^

Secret Garden drama

I apologize for not posting anything yesterday. I was going to, but then I got busy and forgot. Again sorry ^^

Ok so I decided to show the first episode of a new drama that I haven't even seen. This weeks drama is Secret Garden. It seems to be popular.

A Millionaire's FIrst Love movie

A few weeks ago I saw the movie "A Millionaire's First Love", it was a cute movie I really liked it, but like every Korean movie it was also sad.

It's about an 18 year old boy who's grandfather dies. He believes he's going to get his grandfather's money so he decides to drop out of school. To his surprise they tell him he can't get the money until he graduates from high school, but not from any high school, a high school in a small village. So he has to live over there without his car, money, etc. Being the rebellious boy he is he meets a girl who he is mean to, but she slowly starts to change him.

It's such a cute story I really like his character after he starts changing.

House of Flying Daggers

A few years ago I watched the movie “House of Flying Daggers”, but I wasn’t able to finish it since the DVD was scratched. Since I was curious on how it ended I decided to look it up on Youtube. I found it, watched it, and absolutely loved it!!

At least for me it was a beautiful love story and the soundtrack was amazing, I just had to get it.

I was trying to find the one I watched (in the original language) but I couldn’t find it. I don’t like watching dubbed movies, but this one isn’t so bad.

Talk To Me In Korean Lesson of the Day #2

This weeks TTMIK lesson: Level 4 Lesson 18

In Level 2 Lesson 29, we introduced how to say “more” in Korean.
더 [deo] = more
Examples:
1. 조금 더 [ jo-geum deo] = a little more
2. 더 많이 [deo ma-ni] = more + much = more
3. 더 주세요. [deo ju-se-yo.] = Give me more.
4. 더 먹고 싶어요. [deo meok-go si-peo-yo.] = I want to eat more.
And now in this lesson, let us look at how to say “the best” or “the most” in Korean.
Most (+ adjective/adverb) = 제일 [ je-il] / 가장 [ga-jang]
In English, the words “most” and “best” can be used as both adverbs and nouns. The usage that we are looking at
today is its usage only as an adverb. (When “most” works as a noun, other Korean words are used, and they will be
introduced in a future lesson.)
제일 and 가장 are almost the same thing and they can be used interchangeably. 제일 is a sino-Korean word while
가장 is a native Korean word.
Example #1
예쁘다 [ye-ppeu-da] = to be pretty
제일 예뻐요. [ je-il ye-ppeo-yo.] = (subject) is the prettiest/the most beautiful.
제일 예쁜 여자 [ je-il ye-ppeun yeo-ja] = the prettiest girl/the most beautiful girl
제일 = 가장
제일 예뻐요 = 가장 예뻐요
제일 예쁜 여자 = 가장 예쁜 여자
** 제일 is used more commonly in spoken Korean than 가장.

Example #2
좋다 [ jo-ta] = to be good
제일 좋아요. [ je-il jo-a-yo.] = (subject) is the best (most + good).
제일 좋은 것 [ je-il jo-eun geot] = the best (most + good) thing
Sample phrases
1. 이게 제일 좋아요. [i-ge je-il jo-a-yo.]
= This is the best (one).
2. 제일 가까운 역이 어디에요? [ je-il ga-kka-un yeo-gi eo-di-e-yo?]
= Where is the closest station?
3. 어떤 색깔이 가장 좋아요? [eo-tteon saek-kka-ri ga-jang jo-a-yo?]
= Which color is the best? / Which color is your favorite?
4. 제일 먼저 온 사람이 누구예요? [ je-il meon-je on sa-ra-mi nu-gu-ye-yo?]
= Who is the person that came here first?
5. 요즘 가장 인기 있는 가수는 누구예요? [yo-jeum ga-jang in-gi it-neun ga-su-neun nu-gu-ye-yo?]
= These days, who is the most popular singer?
